SNC / SNCD Plummer Blocks are manufactured from ductile cast iron, and designed  to combat heavy industry application issues.

These large Plummer blocks, run up to a 500mm shaft size and offer excellent rigidity and stability. Produced with a reinforced bearing seat, load can be universally distributed. Plus, vibration dampening & heat dissipation characteristics, means the bearing runs cooler and can endure higher stress levels. Thereby extending operating and service life.

Recommended for ULTAGE spherical roller bearings, to take advantage of increased load capacities.

Available as Maintenance-free or regreaseable types. Bearing units/pillow blocks offer cost-effective solutions for machinery with shafts, where stability is a prerequisite & misalignment may occur.

The unit consists of a bearing with a spherical outside diameter and extended inner ring mounted in a pillow block housing.  The spherical fit of the bearing accommodates initial misalignment. 

​

Bearing units are capable of taking high load capacity, they are light weight yet strong housing solutions, offer easy mounting, secure fits onto shafts, self-aligning capabilities, and possible insert replacement.

Installing a self-aligning bearing unit is easy, without the need for specialist technical skills.

Flange units come in a variety of shapes to ensure a superior fit to machinery and shafts.

Square, round or rombus units are available, and can be bolted to a machine wall with either 2, 3 , or 4 bolts.

 

Flanged units are available in ball or roller bearing units. The roller bearing unit consist of a spherical or tapered roller bearing mounted in a cast iron housing. The units generally come as pre-lubricated,  sealed and ready to use but are available with grease nipples for re-greaseable options.

A range of flange units offer versatile, cost effective designs for many industrial applications. Typically mounted in take-up frames and connected by an adjustment screws.

Take-up units are designed to offer the same benefits of normal bearing units & flange units, with the main differences between the take-up units being the housing design, the locking method onto the shaft, the sealing solution, and the options for end covers and back seals.

14°F (-10°C) up to

212°F (100°C).

As with the housing design, inserts are produced in various types. NTN-SNR offers sealed, lubricated for life, bearing inserts for easy maintenance.

Available in both ball and roller bearing options, with sphered outers and self-aligning ability, in all directions, the bearing inserts can compensate for any slight static mis-alignment of the shaft.  The various fixing methods on the extended inner ring provide very simple mounting on to the shaft.

Triple-sealed bearings feature a secure bearing seal with three lips. This special seal offers reliable dustproofing and waterproofing superior to those of standard bearings used in bearing units. In addition, it ensures a longer service life, even when exposed to heavy airborne dust and water splashes.

AGR bearing inserts offer superior sealing for extreme environments. Protecting the bearing from grease loss, contamination, ingress, and water.

AGR triple lip L3 seals give excellent protection against pollution.

The zinc-plated shield is equipped with a single lip seal to seal the contact with the outer ring (zinc-plated).

Lubricated for life, with grease fill factor of 90%, ensures high-performance. Plus, protection against wear means it's suitable for heavy loads.

​

Available with screw set or eccentric locking collar, offers quick locking on the shaft.

Housing accessories increase the performance of the bearing unit. Items such as "End Caps" are produced to protect the bearings from tough operating environments. They also compensate for shaft expansion and the exposed shaft end, to avoid accidents. Produced for easy installation, these cost-effective accessories have resist most chemicals and d can withstand operating temperatures up to 200°C.​
